[Family:] No siblings, but a few cousins on both sides of his family. Mother was part of the Spider Clan, Father was Bear Clan, but has divorced himself from his Hopi heritage. His mother’s father still lives on the reservation and is one of his major role models.

PERSONALITY

Nick is charming and confident when he wants to be and completely quiet and apathetic when he doesn't want to be. He's someone everyone likes, but no one really knows anything of substance about, other than that he's Native American and a military brat. He sometimes comes off as a bit cocky. He's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder. He's really passionate about the stuff he truly cares about ( not that he lets that side show too often). He's perfected the aloof and dispassionate schtick to an artform.

HISTORY

Nick is a quarter Irish and three quarters Hopi. His parents are going through a messy divorce and so he's currently living with his mother at Fort Meade. She's recently gotten a job with the Department of Defense. His Dad works somewhere doing something with someone, but no one quite knows what. He's with the Army and that's all anyone knows. Though his latest assignment is taking him back stateside, much to Nick’s dislike. Nick's grown up between his grandfather's place back in First Mesa, Arizona on the Hopi Indian reservation and a slew of military bases. He's not happy to be stuck on the East Coast, he vastly prefers the Southwest to anywhere else on Earth. He currently attends Arundel High and plays in the marching band (he's leader of the flute section). He also plays the drums, but he keeps that to himself (the band already owns most of his soul) because it's something that he only does back on the reservation for some of the ceremonial events.

WEAKNESSES

Bit cocky, also a bit of a ladies' man, has a hard time with anything "Permanent ish" Used to moving out and moving on.

STRENGTHS

Wicked awesome musician, very perceptive, will fight for what he believes in to the end, able to easily adapt to anything thrown at him.

GENERAL DEITY HISTORY

Kokopelli is a fertility deity, usually depicted as a humpbacked flute player (often with a huge phallus and feathers or antenna-like protrusions on his head), who has been venerated by some Native American cultures in the Southwestern United States. Like most fertility deities, Kokopelli presides over both childbirth and agriculture. He is also a trickster god and represents the spirit of music[citation needed].

Among the Hopi, Kokopelli carries unborn children on his back and distributes them to women (for this reason, young girls often fear him). He often takes part in rituals relating to marriage, and Kokopelli himself is sometimes depicted with a consort, a woman called Kokopelmana by the Hohokam and Hopi.[1]

Kokopelli also presides over the reproduction of game animals, and for this reason, he is often depicted with animal companions such as rams and deer. Other common creatures associated with him include sun-bathing animals such as snakes, or water-loving animals like lizards and insects. Because of this, some scholars believe that Kokopelli's flute is actually a blowgun (or started out as one). Alternatively, the "flute" may actually be a pipe for smoking tobacco in a sacred ceremony, or some other device entirely.
In his domain over agriculture, Kokopelli's fluteplaying chases away the Winter and brings about Spring. Many tribes, such as the Zuni[citation needed], also associate Kokopelli with the rains. He frequently appears with Paiyatamu, another flautist, in depictions of maize-grinding ceremonies. Some tribes say he carries seeds and babies on his back
